Margaret (Atkin) Carrick was born in Yorkshire, England.
Margaret would never meet her father. He passed away and was buried on 10th January 1783, in Drypool, St Andrew, Yorkshire (East Riding).
Margaret Atkin was born about 1783. Baptised the daughter of deceased farmer, Peter Atkin in Drypool, Yorkshire on 3rd August 1783. [1] In her subsequent marriage, she was noted as being the daughter of Jane Atkin, (Thorn).
On 25th April 1804, Margaret married son of a farmer, Ezekiel Carrick. The couple were married by license, in Marfleet, Yorkshire. [2]
The couple were likely well equipped both practically and financially, since both had lost their farming fathers early in life.
In 1841, Margaret was seen residing with her husband in East Street, Drypool, Saint Andrew, Yorkshire. Margaret was noted as being 55, but this age has been rounded down to the nearest 5. [3]
