Sarah Atkins, born 1 Apr 1842, daughter of Thomas Atkins, a labourer, & Mary (nee Clark), was christened on 10 Apr 1842 in Postwick, Norfolk, England.^[1]

In 1851 Sarah Atkins (age 8, Scholar) lived in Postwick with her father Thomas (49, Labourer/Pauper), mother Mary (47), and five siblings: Thomas (20, Ag Labourer), Harriet (16), George (14, Ag Labourer), James (10, Scholar), and William (6, Scholar).^[2]
