Arthur Jones Atkins was born on 5 May 1907 in Kew, Victoria, Australia, son of Adelaide Laura (Jones) Atkins and Arthur Atkins.

He married Jessie Louisa Mirriam Mannix in 1930 in Victoria.^[1] They had a son.^{[citation needed]}

Arthur died on 19 July 1969 in McKillop, Victoria, aged 63 years.^[2]
