November 30, 1864: Division, Brigade & Regimental Commanders listed as killed, missing or captured in battle at Franklin, Tennessee ; [captured at Battle Franklin Tennessee]. Held in Military Prison, Louisville, Kentucky. Sent to Johnson Island, December 3, 1864 and then on to Depot of POWs near Sandusky, Ohio [arrived December 5, 1864. Several additional transfers made and ultimately paroled at Camp Morton, US Military Prison June 30, 1865 Submitted by Donna Meinscher Estes, Historian, Margaret Howell Davis, Chap 2418, United Daughters of the Confederacy.
