Valca was born about 1883. He is the son of Judson Atkinson and Sarah Parker. In 1900, the family was living in Criddelle, Hutcherson, Greene County, Georgia.[1]
He married Minnie Lee Gregory about 1904 per the 1910 Census.
In 1910, they were living in Randolph County, Alabama, and had a daughter, Lucy.[3]
There is some question as to whether Lucy is actually the daughter of Charlie and Minnie, as they were married sometime after the 1900 census, and the 1910 census states her birth year as 1897 and her age as 13. It may be that her birth date/age is wrong. There are great discrepancies in the records and graves regarding the birth years of her parents also.
Charlie registered for the WWI draft in 1918. He was a "stationary engineer" for the Monty Cordage Company. He listed his wife, Minnie, as his nearest relative.[4]
By 1920, the family was in Rock Mills, Randolph County, Alabama, and had a one year old son, Jackson (Judson?). Lucy was not in the home.[5]
On 21 September 1923, Charlie Valcour Atkinson is listed as living in Randolph County and over the age of 21. [6]View page on Pinterest

Charlie Atkinson Head Male 54 New York
Bela Atkinson Wife Female 45 Alabama

The family was still in Rock Mills in 1940.[9] The household included:
Char V Atkinson Head Male 55 New York
Bela C Atkinson Wife Female 53 Alabama

Judson C Atkinson Son Male 21
Charlie passed away in 1940 in Randolph County, Alabama.[7] Burial was in the Rock Mills Cemetery in Rock Mills, Randolph County, Alabama.[10]
