Biography

Ella was born in 1847. She was the daughter of Lazarus Atkinson and Elizabeth Echols. In 1850, the family was living in Randolph County, Georgia.^[1]

She married Thomas McKendree Lane, and raised a family in Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri.^[2] By 1900, Ella was widowed and living in Beaver Dam Township, Butler County, Missouri.^[3] By 1910, she was living with her daughter, Lula, and Lula's husband, Herman Stoelting, in Barnitz, Custer, Oklahoma.^[4] She remained with her daughter, Lula, through their move to Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho by 1920^[5], and another move to Napa County, California by 1930.^[6]

Ella passed away in 1935 in Missouri. Burial was in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Butler, Missouri.^[7]
