Dorothy was probably born in Crook Westmorland registered in Kendal. She is listed in 2 removal orders with Mary, widow. Joseph 7, Stephen 5, Dorothy 3, and Ann 1 to be removed Jan 1816 from Crook to Ulpha Cumberland that order was quashed and then in May 1816 to be removed from Crook to Torver parish of Ulverston Lancaster Lancashire. Listed in 1851 census as Dorothy Dixon birthplace Crook.
