Disputed Origins

A previous version of this profile listed "Wurtaugua" as a daughter of Attakullakulla. There is no documentation of any daughters for Attakullakulla. She has been detached. Nionne Ollie is a probably mythical person. There is no evidence for the name of Attakullakulla's wife or that he married a Natchez woman. A woman named Wurteh Watts was the daughter of a white trader named John Watts and his Cherokee wife and sister of John Watts, the Cherokee chief.

Wurtagua was born in 1756. She passed away in 1860. [1]

John Watt's (aka Young Tassell, Kunokeski, Chief of the chickamauga), wife was Wurtagua Attakullakulla who was from the paint clan. Born 1756. Johns Watt's father was also John Watts (aka Old Forked tongue, trader watts, first beloved man) who was married to Raven Wurtagua, aka Gi Yo Sti Ko He of the bird clan.
