Biography

Aurelio Onofrio Attardo was born at Sciacca, Provincia di Girgenti, Kingdom of Sicily, "nudius tertius," 10 June 1712, son of Vito Attardo and Pellegrina [Muscarneri], and was baptized at San Michele parish, Sciacca, 12 June 1712; his sponsors were Maestro Onofrio Maggiore and Antonina eius uxor.^[1] Aurelius Attardo died in his home, and was buried on the grounds of Santa Maria convent, Sciacca, 24 July 1750, aged about 45: "Aurelius Attardo ann: 45 circ."^[2]

Aurelio Attardo, son of qm Vito Attardo and Pellegrina Moscaneri of Quartiere San Vito, married at Sciacca (Quartiere Matrice), 9 8bre (October) 1735, by Reverendo Sacerdote Don Lorenzo Piramo Capp.ni, Antonina Santangelo, daughter of Gioacchino Santangelo and qm Felicia Cimè of Quartiere San Michele Arcangelo. The witnesses were Sebastiano Saba[to?], Maestro Antonino Marchese, and Michele Angelo Abbruzzo.^[3]

Antonina Rosa Anna Santangelo was born at Sciacca, 16 Xbre (December) 1714, daughter of Gioacchino Santangelo and Felicia [Cimè], and was baptized at San Michele parish, Sciacca, 17 Xbre (December) 1714; her sponsors were Nicola Palizza and Rosa eius uxor.^[4]
