Biography
Vito Giovanni Maria Attardo was born at Sciacca, Provincia di Girgenti, Kingdom of Sicily, 9 January 1740, son of Aurelio Attardo and Antonina [Santangelo], and was baptized at Matrice parish, Sciacca, 9 January 1740; his sponsors were Giovanni and Accursia Mino, pater et filia.[1] Vitus Attardo was buried at San Francesco cemetery, Sciacca, 11 May 1789, aged 60 [sic]: "Vitus Attardo ann: 60 annora etatis sue."[2]
Vitu d'Attardo, son of qm Aurelio Attardo and Antonina S. Angelo, married at Sciacca (Quartiere Matrice), 2 8bre (October) 1768, by Reverendo Sacerdote Don Giuseppe Ricci Capp.ni, Margaritam Tavormina, daughter of Maestro Ignazio Tavormina and Giuseppa Musso. The witnesses were Maestro Michele Cantone and Don Giuseppe l'Abene.[3]
Margarita Maria Tavormina was born at Sciacca, at 1:00 p.m., 27 January 1753, daughter of Maestro Ignatio Tavormina and Giuseppa [Musso], and was baptized at San Michele parish, Sciacca, 26 January 1753; her sponsors were Antonina and Accursia Caracappa.[4] She died at Sciacca, before 1 January 1820.[5]
