Biography
- Obit - Paul Atteberry, age 69, of Floydada passed away December 23, 2009 at the Covenant Medical Hospital in Lubbock.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Floydada Cemetery with Pastor Terry Simmons officiating. Services were under the direction of the MooreRose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Paul Wendoll Atteberry, Jr. was born December 19, 1940 in Floydada to Paul Wendoll Atteberry, Sr. and Anna Daisy Aaron) Atteberry. Paul married Brenda Green on March 18, 1967 at the First Baptist Church in Floydada. The couple is blessed with a daughter Dawn (Atteberry) Ryan. Paul had retired from working for the Texas Highway Department. Paul also farmed his entire lifetime in Floyd County. He enjoyed weekending in his RV, going fishing, and raising and working hunting dogs. Paul was a member of the First Baptist Church in Floydada.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of over 42 years, Brenda Atteberry of Floydada; his daughter Dawn Ryan and husband Greg of Nacogdoches; his grandchildren, Tristan, Jasmine, and Brianna.
Memorial donations may be made in Paul Atteberry's name to the Floyd County Historical Society.
