James Attew, age 26, Bachelor, Labourer, of Thorpe, (son of William Attew, Labourer) & Caroline Gibbons, age 20, Spinster, of Thorpe, (daughter of Timothy Gibbons, GameKeeper) were married 13th April 1865 in the Parish Church of Thorpe Market, Norfolk, England according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England after Banns by H. H. Lubbock, Rector of Bradfield. James & Caroline both made their mark. Witnesses were Robert Gibbins & Elizabeth Attew.^[4][5]

James Attew died aged 36, in September 1875 in Southrepps, Norfolk, England and was laid to rest there 26th September 1875.^[6][7]
