In the 1871 Census, Jesse declares his occupation as 'brickmaker'.
Research Note
We have shown Jesse's death as being 'after 1871', because we are uncertain of his fate after that year. There are no marriage records in this period, and he does not seem to show up in any later census records. Further to that, we did locate a death record for Jesse Attwater in Horsham in 1872. We are inclined to believe that this is relevant, but are not sure. Compounding that issue is the fact that there are 2 Jesse Attwaters who were born in Horsham in 1849 and 1850. Any information would be appreciated.
