James, son of Ebenezer & Abigail Heaton (1674-1731), was born 15 Mar 1697/8 and baptized 20 Feb 1698, in New Haven, Connecticut[1]
He married twice:
First: 12 July 1722, New Haven, Dinah Sherman (1702-1739)[1]
Second: 4 March 1740/1, New Haven, Elizabeth Alling (c 1706-1792)[1]
His house was on State Street, between Crown and George Streets. (Atwater)
James died 10 July 1766 (according to his tombstone), or on the 12th (according to the town vital records) and was buried on the New Haven town green.[1]
