Rufus Atwater was born 29 November 1754 at Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut, to Esther and William Atwater.[1][2][3]
He married Mary Tuttle 18 December 1777 at Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut. [4] Mary was the dau of Ebenezer and Eunice (Moss) Tuttle. She was b Mar 11 1761 in Wallingford, Connecticut, d Jul 13 1822 at Little River, Nova Scotia. She married 2nd Elisha Randall. [3]
He passed away in 1790 in Nova Scotia.
