Biography

Phineas A Atwater was born in 1699, the son of John Atwater and his wife Abigail Mansfield. [1] He was propounded a freeman of Wallingford on 30 Apr 1730. He married first Mehitable Mix on 10 Nov 1726 in Wallingford.

He married second Mary Ward on 9 Nov 1727 in Wallingford. Children: Sarah, Reuben, William Ward, Thomas, Ward, Phineas, Damaris, Merab, Ambrose.

After Mary Ward died in 1767 he married Hannah Moss on 15 Jun 1768 in Wallingford. Phineas died on 20 Sep 1781 in Cheshire, Connecticut.
