Research Notes
Married John Sorrell, John Footman.
From Historical Southern Families at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~celticlady/thornton/Boddie-Thorntons.htm: Frances Atwell, the third daughter, seems to have married (1) John Sorrell, who died prior to 1724 and (2) John Footman, who was security to Hannah Atwell in 1723 for the Atwell property, and is said to have married a sister of John Paine in 1730 and to have married the widow of John Sorrell in 1732. Frances died prior to 1738, when John Footman married the relict of Richard Kenner.
