Ellen M. Shaver was born in about 1847 in Canada. She is the daughter of John Shaver and Orilla Matilda Hart.

Ellen marries to Ogden Atwell in about 1881 in Tuscola, Michigan. Ogden Atwell was born on September 22, 1836 in New York. Ogden is the son of Philo Atwell Lawry Meaker. Ogden was a member of Company F, 10th Michigan Infantry. He was also a Farmer.

Ogden dies on December 16, 1920 at Elkland, Tuscola County, Michigan. Ellen dies on February 23, 1924 at Cass City, Tuscola County, Michigan.
