Biography
William Boyden Atwood was born on 7 Feb 1794, the son of Samuel Atwood and Hannah (Boyden) Atwood. He was probably born at Dummerston, Vermont; his parents moved to Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts about 1795[1] and they recorded his birth there.[2]
No record of him has been found after his birth. A FindAGrave memorial says he was a William B. Atwood who married in 1825 at Calais, Maine, and died there in 1853, but it presents no evidence to support the identification.[3]
