Phebe Atwood married Joseph Knowles 27 December 1774 in Truro, Barnstable, Massachusetts.[1]

Joshua's will, dated 02 November 1778 and proved on 26 June 1786, mentioned his wife Phebe; heirs of his son Jesse; son Joshua; heirs of his son Josiah; son Simeon as executor; daughters Rebecca, wife of Isaac Sparrow; Sarah, wife of Elkanah Higgins; Susannah, widow of Zoheth Smith. Isaac Paine was a witness and appraiser. [2][3]
