John R Atwood's will is recorded WB K pg 131 probate 12 August 1816 Shenendoah county, Virginia. The will lists 9 children: Nancy, Jane, William (+Lydia Wood dau of Wm & Margaret Wood), John (+Sarah Russell 30 Jan 1811), Edwin (+Eleanor Blackwood 7 Sep 1815), James (+Mary Allen 7 Dec 1815), Elizabeth (+John George 1 Oct 1815), Thompson, Susanna (+Nehemiah Slater 25 Jan 1816).
