DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Benjamin by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Benjamin:
Atwood-1921 and Atwood-619 appear to represent the same person because: I think the Benjamin Atwood mentioned in "Genealogical and Family History of the State of Maine, Volume 1" by Henry Sweetser Burrage, Albert Roscoe Stubbs, Lewis Historical Publishing Company, 1909 - Maine, page 357 - 358 [1] is this one. His daughter, Polly or Patty, is born about 1774 in or around Bradford, MA.
