Biography

Joseph was born May 10th 1769. He was the son of Boniface Aubé and his wife Magdelene Blais. He was baptized the next day in St-Michel-de-Bellechasse, godparents were Joseph Carrière and Charlotte Denis. No signatures.[1]

On July 4th 1796, in St-Michel-de-Bellechasse, Joseph Aubé adult son of Boniface Aubé and Magdeleine Blais, of St-Charles Rivière Boyer parish, married Marie Marthe Roi minor daughter of Louis Roi and deceased Marie Joseph Morisset of this parish. Witnesses were: Groom- his father, his brothers Ambroise and Boniface Aubé, his uncle Charles Denis and his godfather Joseph Lebrun; Bride- her father, her grandfather Joseph Morisset; her paternal uncles Jean Baptiste and Joseph Roi; her maternal uncles Joseph Marie and Michel Morisset. The bride signs: Marthe Roi.[2][3]

Dispensation was obtained for a fourth degree of consanguinity. They were third cousins from three different branches. Their common ancestors were:

  1. Pierre Blais and his wife Anne Perrault
  2. Marguerite (LeClerc) Leclerc
  3. Nicolas (Roy) Le Roy and his wife Jeanne (Lelievre) Lelièvre.

On July 1st 1811, in St-Henri-de-Lauzon, Joseph Aubai adult widower of Marie Marthe Roi married Marie Blouin adult daughter of Joseph Blouin and Marie Remillard. Witnesses: Groom- his uncle Antoine Tanguier and his brother in law Thomas Roi; Bride- her father and her brother François Blouin; no signatures[4].

Joseph Aubé, beggar, husband of Magdeleine Blouin, died September 8th 1835 at about the age of 67 years. He was buried 2 days later in St-Henri-de-Lauzon.[5]

Aube-104 and Aubé-258 appear to represent the same person because: LNAB per baptismal record was Aubé with the accent. Same DOB, same marriage date, same parents of bride.

I have found no records where Joseph Aubé used the dit name Langlois and so have not included it in the merged profile until such a record is found.
