The family was listed on the 1752 La Roque census at Anse de la Boullotierre, Isle St. Jean, Acadia (present-day Prince Edward Island) where they had arrived 14 months earlier. They were the only family recorded in that village. There were 9 children in the household. [1][3]
The were deported from the island to France in 1758. The conditions were horrific on the ship. Anne and their youngest child Marie Josephe died at sea during the crossing. The rest of the family disembarked in Saint-Malo on 23 January 1759. [4]Four of their children (Pierre, Timothé, Jeanne, Elisabeth) died at the hospital a few weeks after arrival.
