Adrien Gedeon Aucoin is a descendant of an Acadian
Adrien Gedeon Aucoin was born on 30 January 1842 in Assumption, Louisiana, United States, son of Isidore Joseph Aucoin (1795 - >1860) and Marguerite Daigle (1801 - ~1870).
In 1850 he was eight and living with his parents in Napoleonville, Louisiana.[1]
In 1860 when the census was taken, his parents were separated and he was counted in his mother's household in 7th Ward, Bayou Lafourche, Assumption Parish, Louisiana.[2]
During the Civil War he enlisted and served the C.S.A., attaining the rank of 4th corporal by April 1862. He died in service on 31 December, 1862.[3]
