Baruch was born about 1866 in Vienna, Austria. His parents were Leo Auerbach and Toby (Kestern) Auerbach.[1]
Baruch married Frieda Wachman and they had five children, Nathan, Josef, Fred, Max, and Abe.[2]
Baruch emigrated to the United States in 1906, and was followed by his oldest son, Nathan, in 1907. Frieda and their remaining four children finally came in 1908 and the family was reunited.[2]
Baruch, Frieda, and their five sons lived in Manhattan, New York, New York, United States in 1910.[2] They were still there in 1920, but only the two youngest sons remained at home.[3]
Only five months after having been widowed and still working as a grocer, Baruch died on May 24, 1939 in the Bronx, Bronx, New York, United States. He was buried May 26, 1939[1] in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Maspeth, Queens, New York, United States.[4]
