Her father, previously Marquis of Corville, dropped his title and abandoned his lands to enter holy orders. Her mother Sarah was of a family of great distinction at the Hague and connected with the Boreel and Fagel families, distinguished in the annals of Holland.[1]
She was baptised on 1 October 1707 in St James, Piccadilly (St James, Westminster), London, Westminster, England.[2]
Marieanne Aufrere married about 1730 to [[Duval-1871|Doctor Philip DuVal], a French refugee Physician, who had studied under the celebrated Boerhaave, and was first Physician to the Princess of Wales, mother of King George the third.
By this marriage Mrs DuVal had at least three children, a daughter, Mary (who predeceased her mother) and two sons:
Philip, who died in London the 14th of March 1808 aged 76, leaving no issue by his wife Miss Ann George who survived him about seven years. He was educated at Westminster, Cambridge and Gottingen, took orders, was Subpreceptor to some of the Royal family of England, and at the time of his death was Dr of Divinity, Canon of Windsor, and Vicar of Twickenham.[3]
George Duval who was baptised on 17 December 1745 in Westminster, Middlesex, England.[4]
Marianne was living at the time her father's Will was proved on 20 April 1758.
