Michael Augello, 91, bowling champion
Funeral services for Michael Augello will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Jude Church, 15889 E. Seven Mile, Detroit. Mr. Augello, 91, of Detroit, died Saturday at Bon Secours Hospital. A state champion bowler during the 1940s, he worked in Sears' automotive sales department for 30 years. He also managed the Centennial Bowling Alley in Detroit and later owned LaSalle Market, a neighborhood grocery store in East Detroit. Mr. Augello is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Thomas; two daughters-in-law, Betty and Donna; 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. A rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at the Jerome A. De Santis Funeral Home, 11470 Thirteen Mile, Warren. Burial will follow Wednesday's services and will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
