James Auger, widow, married Caroline Hills at St Marys in Chatham, Kent on 25 December 1828. [1]
In the 1851 census, James and Caroline were recorded at Stoke Demeral in Devon. James was a horsekeeper and his place of birth is Chatham in Kent. [2]
James and his wife, Caroline were recorded in the 1871 Census at Chatham in Kent.[3] In 1881, James was a widower, and recorded at the Workhouse in Chatham, Kent.[4]
James Auger passed away on 6 July 1882 at the Chatham Workhouse in Medway, Kent and was buried in the Chatham Cemetery.[5], [6]
