Marlowe passed away in 1969. On April 17, 1976, she was united in marriage to Robert Burnett. Robert passed away in 2009. Carol was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada and was a Master Gardner. She enjoyed oil painting, reading, writing and making porcelain dolls.
Carol is survived by her sons, Kevin Tye of Nevada, and Allan (Sheila) Tye of Nevada; her daughters, Nancy (Loren) Donaldson of Ames, and Jeanine (Rod) Pfantz of Nevada; her brother, Jerry (Jean) Aukland of California; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands; and her parents.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada with Pastor Myron Herzberg officiating. Private burial of cremated remains will take place in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
Where in the World is Carol? or at least her cremated remains.
Carol has two Find-A-Grave memorials. Each memorial is true and valid with corroborating information. One would indicate her cremated remains are interred with her first husband, Marlowe Tye[2]. The other would indicate her cremated remains are interred with her second husband, Robert Burnett[1].
It is my belief, based on the obituary posted on the Burnett memorial, her remains (or at least half) are interred with Robert. Her remains could have been split and interred in-part in both locations. James R. Greiner
