Jane Auld was born on 11 March 1793 in Boothbay, Maine. Her parents were James Auld and Frances (McCobb) Auld[1].
She married Paul McCobb on 24 September 1812 in Boothbay[2]. They had ten children, eight of whom survived to adulthood[1]:
1. Mary, born 3 Feb 1813; married Daniel Auld
2. John, born 9 Apr 1816; died 1842
3. Fanny, born 27 Oct 1815; married Edwin Auld
4. James, born 19 Jul 1817; married Martha Holton
5. Sarah, born 20 Mar 1824; married Thomas Matthews
6. Eliza, born 25 Feb 1826; married John Holton
7. Armitage, born 24 Oct 1831; died 1863 on the march to Gettysburg
8. William, born 31 Jul 1833; married Fanny Corey
Jane died on 6 June 1864 in Boothbay[1] and is buried in Kenniston Cemetery[3].
