Elnora Auld was the daughter of Jeremiah Auld [Auld-1556] and Nancy Anna Francis [Francis-9554]. Elnora was born in 1871 and died in 1944.

James remarried the following year. Her name was Elnora but Charlie called her Nora. "Us kids resented her and we were mean. But you know I saw her work awfully hard and she did wash for other people too. I started treating her nice." James and Nora had one child, Vera Catherine, who was born on July 6, 1916.
