Elizabeth was born in 1854 in Castletown, Islandmagee, County Antrim, Ireland, the daughter of John Auld and Sarah Brennan. She was baptised on 25-May-1854 in 1st Islandmagee Presbyterian Church.[1]
In 1878 she married Daniel McKinlay in 1st Islandmagee Presbyterian Church. He was a mariner from Campeltown, Scotland and she was from Islandmagee. The witnesses were Robert Auld and Maggie McKinlay.[2]
