~ No birth record located.

~ No marriage record located.

~ Do not know maiden name of Nora M.

~ Do not have death records for either of them.

~ Family notes - “Uncle Ira was a banker, having started out in Kincaid. His wife was postmistress. The Post Office was just across the street from the Bank. In 1925 the Bank was robbed and U. Ira was taken hostage. The Merchants plus his wife were shooting so close that the robbers dropped the bag of money in the street. U. Ira was taken out into the country a few miles, made to climb over a fence into a cornfield and lay down. He was not hurt, just nearly scared to death. I have a clipping from the newspaper about this robbery and I can remember when it happened. After a few years, U. Ira went to another Bank at Carrolton, Ill. which is about 60 miles Southwest of here. Lived and worked there until his death after a very bad heart attack. He was in his early ?’s (Unable to read--v.h.). They had one son, who is deceased, also from heart disease. He was an attorney and an FBI Agent.
