Bullet In Boy's Leg
A bullet from a .22 calibre rifle entered a boy's right leg on Saturday. The boy is Rex Edward Austen, 16, of Dalziel Street Lismore. The accident occurred on a property at Woodlawn when Austen and another boy were firing at a tin can. The rifle locked, and went off when Austen tried to cock it. The bullet went through the calf of the- boy's leg. Lismore Ambulance was called and Austen was taken to hospital.
He was later allowed to leave.
