Jacob A. Austin was born December 22, 1902 in Florida, United States. He is the son of Miles Austin and Amanda "Mandy" Hackley Austin.

He married Gertrude Clark.

Reverand Jacob A. Austin passed away August 2, 1975 in Tallahassee. His obituary was published in the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper in Thursday, August 7 on page 3.^[1] He is buried in the PAllbearers Union No 13 Cemetery section of the Lake Hall Community Cemetery in Tallahassee.^[2]
