DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Benjamin by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Benjamin:
Hey Steve, it looks like there may be some conflation with this profile. I'm trying to sort out the various Isaac Chases and there is a Susannah Chase, daughter of Isaac, who married Benjamin Austin. I believe they had a daughter Abigail who married Jonathan Coffin.
This Benjamin profile has three different Abigails as daughters (along with two Moses'). I've detached one. Any idea who belongs with whom? Also wondering the source for this Benjamin's wife being a Varney.
Upon looking further, I think all of the attached children that were born in Maine belong to a different Benjamin Austin. I'm not sure if he already has a profile...
Apparently I adopted this profile some time ago likely because it is on one of my Austin lines, but I never worked on it. I just cleaned it up a bit, but feel free to work on it. If Susannah is a Chase, and not a Varney, it would not impact my DNA paths, so that change is certainly possible.
