Following his death on January 9, 1944 at Pincher Creek, Frederick was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Pincher Creek, Claresholm Census Division, Alberta, Canada. He died at the age of 82 years. Frederick is buried beside his wife, Katherine, their son, Francis and daughter-in-law, Marjorie.[9]
