Biography
John was born in April 1886 in North Carolina. He was the son of Marcus Caldwell Austin and Harriett Priscilla (Staton) Austin.[1][2]
In the 1900 census John (age 14) was the son of Mark Austin in New Salem Township, Union, North Carolina, United States.[1]
John (age 57) died on 30 October 1943 and was buried on 1 November 1943 in Asheboro, Randolph, North Carolina, United States.[2] He has a gravestone in West Bend United Methodist Church Cemetery, Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina, United States with a death date of 30 October 1943.[3]
