Biography

Joe Marie was born on September 17, 1898 and was the daughter of Albert Autrey and Sarah Cason.

She was born and raised in the Palo Pinto & Parker county, Texas area.^[1][2] Following the death of her father she lived with her mother and older brother James.^[3]

She married Ben Stewart sometime between 1920 and 1930 with whom she had 5 children:

Annie Irene (Stewart) Wilson: b. 01/23/1924 d. 10/21/2001^[4]

Ben Elmo Stewart: b. 07/21/1925 d. 02/20/2012^[5]

W Pickens Henry Stewart: b. 02/20/1927^[6] d. 08/27/2011^[7]

Loretta Marie Stewart: b. 10/23/1928^[8]

Gordon Hance Stewart: b. 03/23/1931^[9]

Joe Marie eventually died on June 27, 1976^[10][11] at the age of 77 years old in Palo Pinto County, Texas where she had lived most of her life.^[12][13] She was laid to rest in the Staggs Prairie Cemetery in Mineral Wells, Texas^[14] along with her husband and other family members.
