Avered-1 and Everett-4876 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same person, but the birth date is definitely 3 Aug 1678. Josiah was born Josiah Everett, as per birth record, but his death record and will show josiah Avered.
As i was creating a profile for my 6th great-grandfather Josiah Everett i got the screen message from WikITree to go ahead and proceed, as there were no profiles like it. So i went ahead and created https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Everett-4876. I used the surname Everett as his birth record uses that surname. Unfortunately, even though i had included Avered as the surname that he died with (per death and will records), the system did not show another profile for this forefather. So i apologise to the unmeant inconconvienence, and shall initiate a merge. I 'd prefer using the surname Everett as his surname at birth (per birth record). But since your profile is older, it will be up to you to decide. However, the birth record is clear that he was born on 3 Aug 1678 (not 8 Aug 1678). The Original shows 3rd 6th 78: the sixth month at that time was August. And at that time Dedham belonged to Suffolk County, nor Norfolk County. Thank you in advance, Albertus
