Biography
Sarah Avery, born 10 May 1688 at Groton, Connecticut, was the tenth child of Deborah (Stallyon) Avery (1651-1729) and James Avery Jr. (1646-1728).
She married in 1712 Carey Latham. Wheeler (1900) states surname of husband as 'Mr. Luther'. They had 5 children:
- Joseph Latham (1714-1805); married Rebecca Green
- Susannah (Latham) Williams (1717-1799); married John Williams
- Emblem (Latham) Hood (1720-); married Moses Hood
- Sarah (Latham) Fish (1723-); married John Fish
- Mary (Latham) Pratt (abt.1724-1799); married Jonathan Pratt
Sarah (Avery) Latham died 20 Apr 1732 at Groton, Connecticut. Her grave is in Ancient Burying Ground, New London, Connecticut: Find A Grave: Memorial #11366969
