Biography

Lucy Avery was born 24 Apr 1766. She was the second child of Ebenezer Avery and Phebe Denison of Groton, Connecticut.

She married 7 Jan 1784 @ Groton, Connecticut, William Morgan [b. 7 Sep 1758 @ Groton, Connecticut, son of Mary (Walsworth) & Solomon Morgan; d. 21 Sep 1840]. They had 11 children; their first seven were born at Groton, the others at Scipio and Collins, New York, where they resided in close proximity to extended family:

  1. Lucy Morgan (1784-1809); unmarried
  2. William Morgan (1785-); married Rebecca Bacon; d. 12 Apr 1827 @ Collins, NY
  3. Phebe (Morgan) Hussey (1787-); married Reuben Hussey; d. 8 Jun 1855 @ N. Collins, NY
