Biography

Emily Avery was born about 1805 in Vermont to parents Josiah Avery and Hannah Critchet. [1] [2] [3]

After her father's early death, Emily's mother, Hannah Critchet Avery, took her and her siblings by foot from Vermont to Highland Falls, New York. [4] Emily is reported to have passed away 4 June 1876 in Phillipstown, Putnam, New York.

Research Notes

There was another Emily Avery married to Christopher Avery. Her maiden name was "Walker". See FAG memorial #108053581. Her parents were Elijah Walker and Lucina Colton Walker.

Also, on Ancestry.com, there was a Patience Avery born about the same year as Elizabeth (of this profile) who was married to Oliver Bean.

Update: 3/25/2023. Emily Willard born in VT married Stephen Bean. Fetterly-28 03:12, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
