Biography
John Avery: Birth 17 SEP 1705 Groton, New London, Connecticut.
The John Avery who married Bridget Huggins in Greenland, NH was born, married and died in NH. He is not the son of Samuel Avery and Susanna Palmes. This particular error appears to have originated with an early Avery genealogy. Institute Historical Collections, v. 40, p. 90 [1]
John Avery married Bridget Higgins on March 18, 1725 in Greenland, New Hampshire. Rev. William Allen of Greenland, New Hampshire, was the officiant.[2]
