His parents were Jonathan Avery (~1695 - ~1761) and Lydia (Healy) Avery (~1697 - ).[1] m. at Ashford, 6 Dec 1749, HANNAH HUMPHREY, b. at Ashford, 11 Sep 1728 daughter of John and Hannah (Russell) Humphrey; Hannah d. at Ashford, 1752.[2]
Jonathan married Hannah Humphrey (1728 - ~1752) on 6 Dec 1749 in Ashford, Windham, Connecticut. Their son was Jonathan Avery (1750 - 1802).
Jonathan died on 15 Jan 1750 in Ashford aged 27.
Research Notes
Jonathan died about six weeks after his marriage to Hannah and their only child was born six months after his death.
Inventory of his estate was made on 15 March 1749/50. Estate was valued at £1309.5.6 of which £939.16.0 was notes owed to the estate. The estate was distributed to widow Hannah and only child Jonathan on 16 June 1752.[3] Jonathan's father Jonathan Avery wrote his will 16 January 1754 (probate 1761) includes a bequest to his grandson Jonathan Avery son of his son Jonathan deceased.[4][5]
