UK Census Date 1861: Living with his wife Mary Ann and infant daughter Clara in Adrian Street, St Mary, Kent, England. Aged 25.

Occupation: Watchmaker & Jeweller

Alfred, along with his wife Mary Ann and daughter Clara emigrated from England to New Zealand. By 1866, Alfred William Avery and family were living in Collingwood Street, Nelson.^[3] By 1873, the family had moved to Blenheim. ^[4]

He passed away in 1913.

DEATHS

AVERY - On the 24th inst., at the Wanganui Hospital, Alfred William Avery aged 77 years. Interment at Marton.
