Biography
Luther Avery, born 30 Apr 1819 at Groton, Connecticut, was the third child (son) of Dudley Avery and Prudence Avery.
He married Susanna Ford on Sep 24,1846 in Erie County, Ohio [b. 10 Jul 1821 @ Devonshire, England, daughter of Rev. James & Mary (Weber) Ford]; they had 7 children:
- Henry Augustus Avery (1847-1923), b. 8 Dec 1847
- Mary Avery, b. 26 Aug 1849
- George Luther Avery (1851-1917), b. 19 Apr 1851
- Ida Susan Avery, b. 10 Jun 1853; died young
- James Orlando Avery (1855-1932), b. 8 may 1855
- Edmund Weber Avery (1857-1916), b. 13 Sep 1857
- Adeline R. Avery, b. 31 Dec 1863
