Biography
Lucy was born 04 Dec 1787 @ Cornwall, Vermont. She was the third or fourth child (daughter) of Elizabeth (Foote) and Roger Avery.
She married Oliver Lewis [b. 15 Jun 1791, son of Christopher Lewis; d. 17 Feb 1861 @ Newfane, NY]; they had 6 children:
- Mary (Lewis) Gaylord (1816-1895), b. 30 Apr 1816; married Frank Gaylord
- Cyrus Avery Lewis (1818-), b. 28 Mar 1818; married Abigail Steele
- Betsey (Lewis) Demmon (1820-); b. 2 Sep 1820; married Henry Demmon
- Lucyette (Lewis) Grover (1822-), b. 7 May 1822; married Henry Grover
- Joseph Lewis (1825-), b. 25 Dec 1825; married Julia Brown
- Elizabeth (Lewis) Brown (1827-1900), b. 18 Aug 1827; married George Brown
