Biography

Ellen was born in 1852 and spent her life in western Michigan. Her parents were Hiram Avery and Lydia Hunt. After she married Charles Allen in 1870, she and Charles lived briefly with her parents, as indicated in the 1870 census. They had four children. Ellen died in Schoolcraft, Michigan near Kalamazoo in 1930. Five months earlier, her husband Charles had passed away.
